It began with a few days cycling, when our proprietors fell in love with the elegant reds of the Right Bank. As they recounted their journey to me, I realised we shared the same affection for those expressive, soulful blends. That Christmas, I set out to surprise them—with a bottle of our very own Right Bank-inspired creation.

Tasting Notes

Aroma
• Elegant and refined, with aromas of ripe blackberry, plum and redcurrant layered with violets,
graphite and subtle baker’s spice. 
• Complemented by subtle floral and savoury notes

Palate
• The palate is beautifully structured, combining juicy dark fruit with fine-grained tannins, vibrant
acidity and a savoury, mineral character. Complex, balanced and persistent, with a long, polished
finish.

• Alcohol: 12.6%
• Residual Sugar: 1.7 g/L
• Total Acidity: 5.65 g/L
• pH: 3.55

Maturation

• Matured for 18 months in combination of 50% new and 50% older French oak barrique (225L)
• No additional bottle maturation; crafted for immediate enjoyment

Vinification

• Grapes are cold soaked for 3days
• Small parcel fermentation
• Pump overs - twice a day
• Post fermentation maceration on the skins (8-10 weeks) prior to pressing
• Gentle pressing to extract free run/cuvee fraction only

Aging potential: 10-15 years under optimal conditions
Bottling dates: November 2025
